Mirgenbach Lake is a prime windsurfing spot in both summer and winter. The mild water temperatures make it welcoming even in December. It makes for a one-of-a-kind show in the region, which can be seen from the “Espace Nauticat”, easily accessible on foot (follow the signs from Cattenom-Sentzich). The dam is also a popular bird-sighting spot, as it is home to a variety of avian species including the Eurasian wigeon, diving duck (tufted duck and common pochard), goosander, and smew. A six-kilometre trail encircles Mirgenbach Lake, an exceptional area where industry, mankind, and nature cohabitate. The trail is dotted with informative signs.
