Moselle's generous natural surroundings explain the countless sweet and savoury treats you will find here. The list of sweet ones includes mirabelle - aka Lorraine's Queen -, which you can enjoy by itself, in a pie or in jam. The list of savoury treats includes smoked delicatessen to enhance a variety of dishes, including bacon, the sausage we still call "fuseau lorrain", hare, pork in jelly and, of course, foie gras. And those are only a few of the specialities you can enjoy here - besides, of course, our world-famous quiche Lorrain.

You will find local cheese and honey in street markets, or buy them directly from uncompromising local producers.

Moselle AOC wines are worth the visit by themselves. But don't miss the opportunity to quench your thirst with a glass of home-made lemonade.
