Thionville

By train

The major stations offering regular services every day are Metz, Thionville, Forbach, Sarrebourg, and Lorraine TGV station. By way of example, a journey on the regional express (TER) from Metz-Sarrebourg takes 1 hour and costs around €18.

Public transport

Each municipality also has its own public transport network: Le Met’ (Metz), Citéline (Thionville), Cabus (Sarreguemines), Isibus (Sarrebourg), TransAvold (Saint-Avold) and Forbus Intercity (Forbach).

By bus

The region is served by the FLUO Grand-Est bus network. Their website also allows you to plan a journey, choosing your mode of transport (car, bus, bike, etc.). For example, if you want to spend an afternoon in the spa town of Amnéville, line 77 of the FLUO network will get you there from Metz in under one hour.
